dear catching fireflies...pick me...pick me...

hello.....I would love to be able to have some of my items in your store. I live in Rochester Hills and have shopped in the Berkley Store before. I am a mixed media artist and teaching altered art and scrapbooking is one of my passions. Here are a few examples of items that I feel would fit perfectly at your store :)

ps - I am not a great photographer and I would love to bring the items in for you to see.

Have a great day, Hailey

classes and inspiration

Hello June. Holey crap. The month of May flew by. I have 2 awesome classes coming up at Scrappy Chic ( http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com ). This Sunday I have fun with Alcohol Ink where we will make several mini elements to add to your scrapbook and altered art projects using some off the wall stuff.....hehe. There is a sample in the store. Then on June 15th, back by popular demand, I am teaching my 3rd class of the Altered Canvas, this class is a hit every time. Then Thursday June 18th the BGPOTM Class.

Hope to see you there! Hailey

PS - A little Anthro inspiration.....seriously I could totally see this in front of the window in my scrap room to do a little creative thinking on. Love, love, love it!

finally some craftyness

So it has been a little over 2 weeks since we have moved to our new place. I am finally unburied from boxes and have the internet hooked up. I finally had some time for a little craftyness. I made a canvas for friends and family to sign for an upcoming graduation party. I am totally lovin Claudine Hellmuth's Studio line distributed by Ranger. I am pretty sure I have gone thru at least a half dozen of the matte mutli-medium jars since CHA. You can find her work and full product line here

Anyway for the canvas I used the multi-medium three different ways on this project. I used it to transfer the photo onto the canvas, to attached the paper to the canvas, and then to create a glaze using 2 parts multi-medium to one part of her blank canvas paint (aka White) and painted it over a mask to create the swirl pattern.

If you have a senior I can create a custom canvas for $65-$100 depending on the size. Please email me with any questions hailey@paper-and-glue.com with canvas in the subject line.

Also I am teaching a class at http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/ on April 19th using these products. For more examples using the Studio line please check out my March 10th post!
