wow...it's been a week

wow. I cant believe it has been a week since my last post. I have been busy working on samples for megameet. I am putting together a super cute mini book with the lil man papers and so far it is just missing pictures and finishing touches. I also made a paper ephemera box with the Graphic 45 transatlantique line. Which is almost done as well. I think I have A.D.D. when I work on projects. I will start one, and in the middle of it I will get an "ah ha moment" of the next one and must stop to get the next one going.

I am also busy making samples for my "Fun with Alcohol Ink" class that I am hoping to get on the schedule Sunday May 31st.

I will leave you with a few pics....One of the almost finished box and one of my daughter posing for the wrong camera. I now know I watch to much of "E" news when my kids are playing movie star and paparazzi when I peeked in on them.

Convention info is below...those Michiganders stop by and say "hi", I will be in the booth Saturday.

Scrappy Chic http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/ will have a booth with LYB, G45, Cosmo Cricket, and Clip it Up. The show starts May 7th-9th.

BG POTM for April

hello to my favorite students and friends.....
Here is some info for the April BGPOTM.
The page title is "the things I do". I am totally para-phrasing but the journaling reads about how her kids take after her husband. Then she goes on to talk about how one of her daughters loves carbs like she does.

Personally I do not think the journaling fits the title of the page at all. My interpretation of the title would be to journal about my personal traits.

My Journaling: The things I do....I love to sleep in and curl up on the couch at night. My guilty pleasure it to watch mindless reality tv. I am not a neat freak but I like some sort of organized chaos. I know at times it drives my boyfriend nuts, but he looks the other way. I am currently being trained to put my dirty dishes directly into the dishwasher not into the sink :) . I wear funny tube socks almost everyday to work. Those are just some of the things I do.

The Layout: There are 2 photos, one 5x7 and one 3x5. They are both black and white. See the sketch above. If you click on the image it should open larger in another window.

The themes for May is "ever after" and June is "empty nest".
I might have to modify June for me to be "full nest" :)
See you all next Thursday! Hailey

finally some craftyness

So it has been a little over 2 weeks since we have moved to our new place. I am finally unburied from boxes and have the internet hooked up. I finally had some time for a little craftyness. I made a canvas for friends and family to sign for an upcoming graduation party. I am totally lovin Claudine Hellmuth's Studio line distributed by Ranger. I am pretty sure I have gone thru at least a half dozen of the matte mutli-medium jars since CHA. You can find her work and full product line here

Anyway for the canvas I used the multi-medium three different ways on this project. I used it to transfer the photo onto the canvas, to attached the paper to the canvas, and then to create a glaze using 2 parts multi-medium to one part of her blank canvas paint (aka White) and painted it over a mask to create the swirl pattern.

If you have a senior I can create a custom canvas for $65-$100 depending on the size. Please email me with any questions hailey@paper-and-glue.com with canvas in the subject line.

Also I am teaching a class at http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/ on April 19th using these products. For more examples using the Studio line please check out my March 10th post!
